The intention of this program and the resulting guidelines is to consider the existing components such as buildings, sidewalks and streets and tie them together to create a diverse, pedestrian friendly and high-quality Architectural environment for Downtown Miami Springs.

Purpose:

• To make Downtown Miami Springs a destination rather than a pass through to other destinations.
• Re-create a pleasing gathering place to dine, shop, browse and stroll.
• Maintain Miami Spring’s distinct charm and character enhancing the strong “sense of place”.

Goal:

• Provide architectural direction for improving existing buildings and for future buildings.
• Stimulate simple creative design solutions while promoting a sense of relatedness among properties.
