The objective of this seminar is to introduce the
basic concepts and tools used by real estate developers, investors, lenders, and
public sector officials to analyze the financial feasibility of real estate
developments. Specifically, the seminar integrates financial theory and
investment principles with contemporary real estate practice.
The seminar has been designed to
provide those without a strong financial background with the "nuts and bolts"
training they need to effectively communicate with experienced real estate
professionals. Although no prior background in finance is required, reading
materials and case studies will be made available to attendees in advance and
each attendee will be expected to have read and prepared such materials.
In addition to the intensive introduction to real
estate finance, the course will also include case studies and sessions with
local real estate developers who will share their experiences and expertise.
