CURRICULUM NOTES: The School reserves the right to retain all student projects done for academic credit.  MTH 109 and ENG 105 are entry level courses.  Courses taken to achieve entry-level status cannot be considered towards the total credits required for the B.Arch. Degree.

ELECTIVES: The program requires the completion of seven architectural elective courses.  These electives enable the student to explore areas of architectural interest beyond the core requirements.  Students are also required to fulfill a minor in an area of study outside of Architecture.  Minors normally range from four to five courses

PORTFOLIO REQUIREMENTS: The portfolio requirement offers candidates an opportunity to share visual interests.  The work may include but is not limited to: reproductions of drawings, paintings, photographs, mixed-media, graphics, cartooning, or photographs of ceramics, sculpture, wood-work, and models.  Although drafting (CAD or hand) courses are not required from entering freshmen for admission, students who want to include such drawings are free to do so.  Slides and electronic media, however, will not be viewed and therefore should not be included.

Each student may determine the binder or folder that best contains the work.  Please do not bother with expensive binders or complicated systems.  The binder does not need to express creativity; simple, easy-to-turn pages matter most.  Each portfolio must include the following:

1.   Preferred size is 8.5 X 11 inches.
2.   Cover page (inside the portfolio) with name, student identification number, mailing address, email
     address, and telephone number.
3.   Descriptive sentence(s) that list when the piece was done, why (for class, individually, etc) and if
the work is part of a group project, exactly what part of the project reflects the candidate’s
work..  Your portfolio should be mailed directly to (please note that portfolios are discarded
unless a self addressed stamped envelope or mailing packet is provided):
