On November 29, 2018, the University of Miami School of Architecture proudly celebrated the dedication of the Thomas P. Murphy Design Studio Building. The building was named by Tom Murphy Jr., Founder, Chairman and CEO of Coastal Construction Group, in memory of his father. The ceremony showcased the importance of providing an open environment for architecture students, where they can engage in collaborative learning and utilize a state-of-the-art fabrication lab. It also honored the generous support of other naming donors and friends who helped make this space a reality.
Thank you to those who joined us in celebration of this innovative scholarly hub and important milestone for the future of the School of Architecture.
