The School of Architecture prepares students for active professional life by advising and facilitating their progress through the Intern Development Program, or IDP - a comprehensive training program created to ensure that interns in the architecture profession gain the knowledge and skills required for the independent practice of architecture. A part of the requirements may be fulfilled by graduation, thus reducing the internship time required after graduation and prior to the licensing exam. To prepare students for professional expectations, the Graduate Program requires submission and review of the student’s portfolio of work at the end of the second year; a final portfolio must be presented for graduation. Both the thesis book and the portfolio are required to graduate.
